Linda Vista Trails Sunset – 9/2/2014

1409 Waiting
A Tarantula – waiting… September 2014.
Near sunset on the Linda Vista Trail the heat isn’t too oppressive – but the shade on the ‘diagonal’ trail is still a welcome relief from the sun – during our break in the shade we spot a tarantula waiting in it’s hole and stand quietly watching a herd of Javelina. After enjoying the sunset we finish our loop with a run back to the trailhead.

1409 Stars from the Babad Do'ag Trail
Stars and a moonlit view – looking towards Agua Caliente Hill and the Rincons. September 2014.
The weather has been hot lately and there is no hint of relief in the perfectly clear blue skies – but there are still some surprisingly lovely nights…
