If you are interested in the history of the Santa Catalina Mountains you should certainly get a copy of Suzanne Hensel's Look to the Mountains (see this article for a little information about the book and author). This book has a huge variety of information and many great pictures all in one location - this is probably the single best book on the history of the Santa Catalina Mountains and certainly a 'must have'!!
