If you are interested in the history of the Santa Catalina Mountains you should certainly get a copy of Suzanne Hensel’s Look to the Mountains (see this article for a little information about the book and author). This book has a huge variety of information and many great pictures all in one location – this is probably the single best book on the history of the Santa Catalina Mountains and certainly a ‘must have’!!

There are links below to purchase the book online however I recommend a stop by the Mount Lemmon General Store instead, they have made copies available for sale for many years.

There are two editions of this book – the revised edition contains Aspen Fire pictures.
