The rock art, ruins and ranches around Oro Valley tell of it’s long history – and pictures of all of those are included in this book – but perhaps the most interesting transformation is the development of the area since the middle of the 20th century. To me some of the most fascinating pictures are ones where Pusch Ridge towers above empty desert rather than the golf courses, resorts, strip malls and housing developments now found in Oro Valley…
Like other books in the Images of America Series this is not a comprehensive history – but the details that are selected are all the more interesting because of the pictures included on every page – certainly a fascinating look at Oro Valley’s history.
